1. General Terms

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern all transactions between you (“the Customer”) and WATCHES OF NORWICH LIMITED (“the Company”), including the purchase, sale, consignment, authentication, and appraisal of luxury watches. By engaging with our services, you agree to these Terms.
 

2. Buying Watches
 

2.1 Product Descriptions
 

We aim to provide accurate descriptions of all watches available for sale. However, all items are sold on an “as is” basis, and we do not guarantee that the product descriptions are entirely accurate or error-free.
 

2.2 Condition of Watches
 

All pre-owned watches undergo an inspection process. Any visible defects or wear will be disclosed in the product description. However, you acknowledge that pre-owned watches may show signs of previous use.
 

2.3 Pricing
 

All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change at any time, but the price at the time of purchase will remain fixed.
 

3. Selling Your Watch to Us
 

3.1 Valuation
 

If you wish to sell a watch to us, we will provide an estimated valuation based on the details and images you supply. This estimate may change once the watch has been physically inspected.
 

3.2 Inspection and Verification

We retain the right to inspect any watch for up to 3 working days to confirm its condition, authenticity, and functionality. If a watch does not meet our standards or is inconsistent with the provided details, we may revise our offer or decline the purchase.
 

3.3 Payment
 

Once the watch has passed our inspection and authentication processes and you accept our final offer, payment will be made as agreed in the purchase agreement. Offers are only valid for 5 days from the date issued.
 

4. Returns and Refunds
 

4.1 Used Watches
 

We do not accept returns on used or pre-owned items. All sales are final unless the watch is found to have a significant fault or defect not disclosed at the time of purchase.
 

4.2 Faulty or Misrepresented Goods
 

If an item is found to be faulty or misrepresented, you must notify us within 48 hours of purchase. Upon receiving the notification, we reserve the right to inspect the watch for up to 5 working days. If we confirm a fault or misrepresentation, we will offer a full refund or repair.
 

5. Warranty
 

5.1 Manufacturer Warranty
 

If your purchase is still under the original manufacturer’s warranty, any claims must be directed to the manufacturer. WATCHES OF NORWICH LIMITED is not responsible for handling manufacturer warranty claims.
 

5.2 Additional Warranty Coverage
 

For pre-owned watches no longer covered by the manufacturer’s warranty at the time of purchase, or if the warranty expires within 6 months of purchase, we offer a limited additional warranty covering mechanical defects for up to 6 months.
 

5.3 Warranty Claims
 

To make a warranty claim, you must notify us within the warranty period. The watch must be brought into our store and can be inspected for up to 10 working days by a third-party workshop.
 

5.4 Warranty Exclusions
 

Our limited warranty does not cover:
    •    Normal wear and tear
    •    Accidental damage, including water damage, unless the watch is specified as waterproof
    •    Damage due to improper handling, misuse, or unauthorised repairs
    •    If the watch has a defect covered under warranty, we will offer a repair or refund at our discretion.
 

6. Watch Appraisal & Authentication Services
 

6.1 Watch Appraisal
 

WATCHES OF NORWICH LIMITED provides watch appraisal services to offer a market-based valuation of timepieces.
    •    Online Watch Appraisal: £50 – 48-hour turnaround
    •    Appraisal reports are for informational purposes only and cannot be used for insurance valuations, legal claims, or resale guarantees.
 

Limitation of Liability: Watches of Norwich is not liable for any financial losses incurred based on appraisal valuations, nor do we guarantee a sale price based on our assessments.
 

6.2 Watch Authentication
 

Our authentication service is a professional assessment based on available details at the time of inspection.

Online Authentication (No Certificate)
    •    £75 – 72-hour turnaround
    •    £95 – 48-hour turnaround
    •    £115 – 24-hour turnaround
    •    £140 – 12-hour turnaround
 

Customers must provide:
    •    Clear, high-quality images of the watch
    •    Front and back of the manufacturer’s card (Required)
 

Failure to provide clear images may affect authentication accuracy.

In-Hand Authentication (With Certificate)
    •    £250 – 72-hour turnaround
    •    Includes comprehensive hands-on inspection, covering:
    •    Serial number and reference verification
    •    Case, bracelet, and dial examination
    •    Movement authenticity check
    •    An authentication certificate issued
 

Authentication Disclaimer:
    •    Watches of Norwich provides authentication based on current industry knowledge and verification methods.
    •    We do not provide a lifetime authenticity guarantee—authentication is a professional opinion at the time of inspection.
    •    We only authenticate watches that include a manufacturer card. Watches without a manufacturer card will not be eligible for authentication.
 

Limitation of Liability:
    •    Watches of Norwich is not liable for any disputes regarding authenticity that arise after our assessment.
    •    If new evidence later contradicts our authentication, Watches of Norwich is not responsible for any financial loss, legal claims, or insurance disputes.
 

7. Limitation of Liability
 

WATCHES OF NORWICH LIMITED, its partners, agents, and beneficiaries are not responsible for any financial loss, damages, or legal claims arising from:
    •    Watch valuations
    •    Authentication results
    •    Third-party reliance on our assessments
 

Our liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the appraisal or authentication service. Under no circumstances will we be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages resulting from the use of our services.
 

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
 

9. Changes to Terms & Conditions
 

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time, without notice. Any changes will apply to transactions made after the date of the update.
